Crime Scene Protocol and Evidentiary Value
[ send me this essay ]
A 7 page overview of crime scene protocol. To be of value evidence must be collected and processed in
accordance with several specific criteria. Collection and laboratory techniques must be above question or, if questioned as they undoubtedly will
be, capable of standing up to the closest scrutiny and criticism. While every crime scene is different and potentially require different
approaches in processing, crime scene protocol almost always involves first securing the scene, interviewing subjects, examining the details,
photographically documenting the scene, sketching the scene, and the careful collection and processing of evidence. The value of DNA evidence in particular is emphasized. Bibliography lists two sources.

Criminal Profiling
[ send me this essay ]
A 7 page paper discussing the development and process of criminal profiling. As much art as science, the end goal of the process of criminal profiling is to identify and assess all of the information available about a crime or criminal so that all of that information can be used to locate, arrest and successfully prosecute those who would engage in violent crime. Criminal profiling is an invaluable tool for defining what investigators should be searching for in terms of suspects. As with any other operational advance, it still must be used properly if it is to return the proper results. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
